SEPACK LAB S.r.l. (Safety Evaluation PACKaging LABoratory) is a company founded in 2009 by Valter Rocchelli and Mara Baronciani, two reference points in laboratory analysis, in studies and research projects and in consultancy on packaging and Food Contact Materials (FCMs) of any nature (plastic, paper and cardboard, regenerated cellulose, glass, aluminum and metal alloys, wood, cork, rubber, silicone and ceramic).

The founders of Sepack Lab, collaborating since 1979, have acquired a proven experience in the analytical control of packaging and FCMs which has resulted in several technical publications and which has allowed all our technical staff to reach a high specialization in the sector.

Valter Rocchelli is also a member of some working groups both at national (UNI) and at European level (CEN) for the development of new standardized methods in the FCMs field.

From February 2020 Sepack Lab is the testing laboratory No. 1819L accredited by ACCREDIA, the The Italian Accreditation Body, in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Sepack Lab sets itself as primary goals:

• being a reference point for FCMs producers and users throughout the supply chain
• the problem solving in order to support producers and users of packaging and FCMs
• the continuous improvement of the analytical services provided to its customers through a constant enhancement of its Quality Management System
• the extension of the laboratory activities also through the acquisition of new technologies
• the maintenance and the enhancement of the staff knowledge and skills through continuous training
